Itinerary

1Arrival – Palermo

Upon arrival to Palermo, meet and transfer to hotel

Dinner and overnight in the hotel

2Palermo – Monreale – Mondello – Palermo

In the morning enjoy a half day guided tour of Palermo visiting:

The royal palace, the Palatina chapel and the cathedral

Visit Monreale famous for its cathedral with byzantine mosaics

Optional excursion: Monte Pellegrinon:

View of the city, its mountains, ocean and the sanctuary of saint Rosalia

Continue to the small fishing village Mondello, with 1hour free time

Return to palermo

3Palermo – Erice –Trapani - Selinunte – Palermo

Depart from Palermo to Ericevisiting the medieval town on the summit of Monte San Giuliano

Admire from here the Norman castle and the cathedral

Stop at a bakery shop to taste the typical almond pastry of Erice

On to Trapani the ancient Dreapanum, with his medieval district

In the afternoon visit of the archaeological park of Selinunte:

The ruins of the temples and the greek acropolis

Drive back to Palermo

4Palermo – Agrigento – Piazza Armerina – Taomirna Mare

Visit to Agrigento and a guided tour of the temples valley visiting: the temple of Juno, temple of Concorde, temple of Erculesand, temple of Castor & Pollux

Continue to piazza Armenia in the afternoon including a short break to have a tasting of typical sicilian food.

Hereafter you will visit the “Villa Romana Del Casale”, famous for the most beautiful collection of late-roman mosaics and later also the city with its cathedral

Continue to Taormina beach

5Taormina mare – Etna – Taormina

In the morning, enjoy an excursion to Mt.Etna and reach the “ Silvesti Craters”

In the afternoon, visit of Taormina, situated on a rocky plateau on the slopes of the steepy dropping Monte Tauro

Possibility to visit the greek-roman theatre

6Taormina mare – Noto – Syracuse – Taormina

Today enjoy a full day excursion starting with Noto, to discover the beautiful baroque in Sicily on to Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites

Guided tour at the archeological park, the roman amphitheatre, The greek theatre, the ear of Dionysus, the cave of the Cordari, Island of Ortigia, the most ancient nucleus of the city with its stunning cathedral
